How to connect to an a wireless network SSID manually in Windows XP?
I have an old friend's laptop they wanted me to reinstall Windows XP on. I am not too sure whether or not I installed the right driver for its wireless network card. Or if their wireless router will support the legacy 802.11b standard that the card can only use. The wireless network was set up ages ago and I know the SSID and password for it. The wireless network works, as it is in use by her brother for console gaming. How could I manually try to connect to their wireless network? Like in the way people do when their SSID is not broadcasted?
