PLEASE Help Me Connect my iPod Touch to My PC!?

I had this problem to but if found out that a program was actually keeping me from being connected with my iDevice. It was called megakey and once I uninstalled it my phone connected just fine. If you have installed software just before your iPod was messing up i would try uninstalling it then reboot computer and see if it works then.
